DLC

DLC is thin film known as Diamond Like Carbon. DLC by Nagata Seiki is hydrogen-free based on PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) especially on GPAS (Graphite Pulse Arc Sputtering). This GPAS-DLC provide long life of machine tools, dies-molds and mechanical parts.

Product Features

  1. High hardness Over 8,000kgf/㎟ on the Micro-Vickers scale
  2. Low friction Friction coefficient of 0.1 or less
  3. High wear resistance
  4. Low temperature coating Coating temperature is in range of RT to 200℃
  5. High thermal conductivity

Processing Principles

  1. Ion etching process: The surface of substrate is cleaned with ion gas
  2. Titanium arc process: Sublayer is formed in create the adhesion of DLC to the substrate
  3. Carbon process: Forming of DLC film
