DLC Coating System
Technical Information
DLC
DLC is thin film known as Diamond Like Carbon. DLC by Nagata Seiki is hydrogen-free based on PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) especially on GPAS (Graphite Pulse Arc Sputtering). This GPAS-DLC provide long life of machine tools, dies-molds and mechanical parts.

Product Features
- High hardness Over 8,000kgf/㎟ on the Micro-Vickers scale
- Low friction Friction coefficient of 0.1 or less
- High wear resistance
- Low temperature coating Coating temperature is in range of RT to 200℃
- High thermal conductivity
Processing Principles
- Ion etching process: The surface of substrate is cleaned with ion gas
- Titanium arc process: Sublayer is formed in create the adhesion of DLC to the substrate
- Carbon process: Forming of DLC film
