SOLO
Technical Information
About SOLO
Compact, low pollution machine that enables even, extremely thin PTFE coatings. The magnetron system forms thin Teflon coating films.
This machine uses a DC magnetron system to enable the formation of a thin film coating of metal, metallic nitride and metallic oxide by combining the metal target (titanium, tantalum, tungsten, silver, etc.) of the rainbow colored coating and introduced gases.

Use of SOLO
Ultrahard surface finishing, replacing the Co binder of the ultrahard surface layer with copper, surface layer annealing

Use of SOLO
Improved friction resistance of ultrahard dies
By using this machine to vaporize and impregnate copper into ultrahard metal dies that have the longevity Co binder removed, the tungsten carbide becomes harder to peel off, improving friction resistance and reducing the friction coefficient.
Surface finishing of ultrahard metal dies
The ultrahard surface is melted using the high current electron beam and the roughness of the surface is reduced as it re-hardens.
